Washington's housing stock skews older and denser than the suburbs — brick and stone rowhomes, pre-war single-family, and condos across neighborhoods like Capitol Hill, Petworth, Brookland, and Shaw. Most of our DC work is kitchen and bath remodels, basement finishes (including English-basement and rental conversions), and structural repair in homes that have been standing and settling for a century or more.

Many DC neighborhoods sit inside historic districts, where exterior changes visible from a public way also go through the Historic Preservation Review Board (HPRB).
