Accessibility statement

The standard we build to

This website is built to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. That is the target we work to on every page; it is not a certification, and if we have missed something we want to hear about it.

What that means on this site

• Text and background colours keep a strong contrast, including on buttons and links.
• Every part of the site works with a keyboard alone, and the element you are on is always visibly marked.
• A “skip to content” link is the first thing a keyboard or screen reader reaches on every page.
• Every form field has a label; errors are described in words, not just colour.
• Headings follow a logical order, and the page is written in semantic HTML so screen readers can navigate it.
• Every photo that carries meaning has a text description. Decorative images are marked so they are skipped.
• Animation respects your “reduce motion” setting: with it on, nothing moves.
• Pop-ups and menus can be opened, read and closed with a keyboard, and they return you to where you were.

Tell us if something is in your way

If any part of this site is hard to use, email rbe@renovationsbyed.com or call (301) 673-2557. Say which page and what happened, and we’ll fix what we can on the site itself.

Things outside our control

Some links go to other companies’ sites (maps, reviews). We cannot make promises about pages we don’t run. If one of them gives you trouble, tell us and we will help you another way.
