Owner-led, estimate to walkthrough
One call. One team. One owner.

From a leaky pipe to a full home addition.
Under one roof.

Most contractors stop at “build.” We don’t. Need drawings? We draw. Need a structural opinion before you commit? We engineer. Need someone to fix what the last contractor broke? We fix. One contract, one phone number, one owner accountable to you from estimate to final walkthrough.

The full stack

Design. Build. Fix. Add. Engineer.

Twelve service lines. One accountable team. The same crew that frames your addition also fixed the soffit you forgot about — and they know which inspector signed off last time.

Why homeowners pick RBE

Built different.
Run different.

High-ticket remodels are won and lost on process, not promises. Here’s the six-point checklist we run every project against — and what you should ask every other contractor to match.

Everything in writing

Scope, allowances, timeline, and payment schedule — signed before any demo. No verbal change orders. Ever.

We pull the permits

Fairfax, Arlington, Frederick, DC — we know the inspectors, we file the paperwork, and we coordinate the inspections.

One accountable owner

Ederaldo (the owner) is on every project. Not handed off to a sub who disappears when something breaks.

Licensed in three jurisdictions

MHIC #116809 · VA #2705166984 · DC #410516000457. Fully insured. References on request, before you sign.

Design-build in-house

If you need drawings, we draw. If you have an architect, we work with them. Either way: one contract, one team.

Final walkthrough, not vibes

Joint walkthrough before the final invoice. Punch list documented. Resolved in writing within 10 business days.

The four things we don’t do

If a contractor cuts these corners walk away.

We don't subcontract critical work to whoever's cheapest.

Framing, electrical, plumbing — the loads-and-life-safety trades — are people we've worked with for years.

We don't disappear after deposit.

You'll have the owner's cell number, the PM's cell number, and a weekly status check-in — in writing.

We don't add hidden fees mid-project.

If the scope changes, it's a written change order signed by both parties before the work happens. Period.

We don't take on more than we can finish.

Scheduling is real and conservative. We'd rather tell you 'August' and start in August than book you for June and ghost you in July.

How we run it

Five steps. Same on every job.

The process is the proof. No work happens outside the approved scope without a written change order — and the final invoice doesn’t go out until you’ve signed off on the walkthrough.

We've had Ed and his team in for several floor jobs in our home, so we knew we were dealing with reputable folks who do good work. Most of their work focused on the outside of our house this time — a new doorframe, front door and trim, new shutters, fresh asphalt on our driveway and a beautiful new stone sidewalk. We couldn't be more thrilled! Ed and his team made sure our shutters were just the right color as requested; the sidewalk was carefully set and crafted with care and is absolutely beautiful; and to say I'm ecstatic about my new butter-yellow door would be an understatement! Everything was reasonably priced and within our budget. The team — Ed, Cid, Matteo, Isaac, Adan, Pedro and Javier — and Silas (who handled all of the communication with a smile I could hear through the phone) — were courteous, friendly and very respectful of our space, time and schedules. We couldn't possibly say enough great things about Renovations by Ed in Frederick, Md! Hire them! You will not regret investing in their talent :)

We had the best experience with RBE. The entire team was a pleasure to work with, from Ed himself, to the office, to the guys on site daily. They are responsive, skilled, and genuinely care about what they are doing. My husband and I were wary after an awful experience with a contractor who left the front of our house in shambles, but Ed and his team went above and beyond to fix it and make the final product better than we even imagined. We now have a beautiful front porch and walkway with a stunning level of attention to detail. I really can't say enough good things, and we will call Ed for anything we might need in the future.

We had a great experience with Renovations by Ed. They installed new drywall, window trim, and built-in shelving in our finished attic space. They painted and did carpet as well. It is an old house and some past owners have made some quirky DIY changes, so Ed's team had to do some problem-solving in some areas. They finished on time within budget. It was a small job, but it made a big difference in our house.

A grand entrance, restored

Cast-stone stairs rebuilt, copper gutter integration, stucco repair, and lantern install — sequenced over eight weeks with the permit pulled before framing.

A grand entrance, restoredAfter

What was broken

The original front porch had failing cast-stone stairs, a collapsed copper-gutter return at the south corner, and water damage at the column bases. The previous contractor had patched the gutter twice in three years; the homeowner wanted the entire entrance to match the rest of the renovated façade, not be patched again.
